How do you feel technologies such as DNA analysis and biotechnology would inflence a person's option regarding the teaching of either of these doctrines ( evolution vs. Creationism)

Actually, I feel that it is usually the other way around.

We know that this stuff exists - we see it on TV and hear about it, read about it etc.

Usually our big-world viewpoint gives us a framework to interpret the phenomena:

evolution - all this is part of science and the natural process of scientific discovery. Richard Dawkins, in his book "The Selfish Gene" theorizes that it might be the genes that are evolving and exploiting us as a byproduct of their development. He then further hypothesizes about the possibility of "memes" - or ideas doing the same thing. It is a natural extension of science to develop such technologies.

creation - depending on which particular viewpoint here, either God intended us to discover this (cos He made our brains in His own image)

or we are tempting fate by "playing God" and trying to unravel the mysteries of life

I do not think that the existence of such technologies would sway a Creationist to believe in evolution or vice versa.

not an expert, but i bet if DNA analysis was understood 100 percent, all of humanity would opt for the teaching of evolution since genes would be available to be altered, and outbusts in science usually influence people more than history, such as the Bible.
