Yes sir they do. They are heavier, get lower mileage, and cost more on top of that.

So when the guy with the 4X4 pulls you out of a ditch, give him an extra 20. That will help with the cost. Thanks in advance. lol

yes it takes more gas but not a significant amount. thats only when u have the vehicle in 4high or 4low. but im assuming that u dont use the 4x4 much.

The vehicles use gas, but they don't waste it. They use it. Maybe a little more than some other vehicles but they don't waste it.

probably even if it's not in 4x4, cause of the extra weight

Yes, it takes more torque and horsepower to run in 4wd, therefore more fuel.
