x-intercepts when y=o (the zeros)
x^2 - 5x - 10 = 0 does not factor, so use quadratic eqn
a=1 b= -5 c= -10

x = (5+/- sqrt(25-4(1)(-10) ) ) / 2
x= (5+/- sqrt 65) /2
