BON JOVI LYRICS
Last Cigarette
Regrets are all you left, on your lipstick stains
Take a picture of our past there in that ashtray
We had our fun, I used to light your flame
Like the dancing smoke that rose we tried to find our way
No one told me, she told me
Your love's like one last cigarette
Last cigarette, I will savor it
The last cigarette
Take it in and hold your breath, hope it never ends
But when it's gone, it's gone
The last cigarette
Just to breathe reminds me of what used to be
The smoke's the ghost that keeps you close when I can't sleep
Don't ask the past to last, it's about to change
The memories don't answer when I call your name
No one told me, she told me
[Chorus]
Your love's like one last cigarette
Last cigarette, I will savor it
The last cigarette
Take it in and hold your breath, hope it never ends
But when it's gone, it's gone
One last cigarette, last cigarette
One I can't forget, the last cigarette
Right there at my fingertips, got your taste still on my lips
Right or wrong
You're still gone, gone, gone
No one told me, she told me
You always lose the girl in a Brian Wilson world
[Chorus]
No one told me, she told me
The Last Cigarette

Turn The Page
On a long and lonesome highway east of Omaha
you can listen to the engine rolling out his one note song
you can think about the woman
or the girl you knew the night before
but your thoughts will soon be wanderin' the way they always do
when your riding sixteen hours and there's nothin much to do
and you don't feel much like riding
you just wish the trip was through
say here I am on the road again
there I am up on the stage
here I go playin' the star again
there I go
Turn the page
well you walk into a restaurant strung out from the road
and you feel the eyes upon you as you're shakin' off the cold
you pretend it doesn't bother you
but you just want to explode
most times you can't hear 'em talk other times you can
all the same ol' cliches, is that a woman or a man
and you always seem outnumbered
you don't dare make a stand
Here I am on the road again
there I am up on the stage
here I go playin' the star again
there I go
turn the page
Out there in the spotlight your a million miles away
every ounce of energy you try to give away
as the sweat pours out your body
like the music that you play
Later in the evening as you lie awake in bed
with the echoes from the amplifiers ringin' in your head
you smoke the day's last cigarette
remembering what she said
Ah here I am on the road again
there I am up on the stage
here I go playin' the star again
there I go
turn the page
Ah here I am on the road again
there I am up on the stage
here I go playin the star again
there I go there I go

Blue Sunday
by Tom Petty
album: The Last DJ (2002)
She took a rolled up 20 out of her pocket
And paid for my cigarettes
We were friends at first sight in the 7-Eleven light
She said "here, let me cover it"
And I rode shotgun all that night
She drove and never made a sound
I asked if there was anything wrong,
She said "nothin worth talking about?"
It's a blue Sunday, down the interstate
Yeah, a blue Sunday
Blue with shades of gray
Her backseat could have been a hotel
I slept for a thousand years
Every now and then she'd laugh out loud for no reason
I pretended not to hear
And rolled my jacket up under my head
And stretched my body out
Couldn't be too far in front of her daddy's bloodhounds,
But I ain't gonna worry now
It's a blue Sunday, down the interstate
Yeah, a blue Sunday
Blue with shades of gray
A blue Sunday,
We never met before
It's a blue Sunday
When it's time to leave you go

SMOKIN' IN THE BOYS' ROOM
Brownsville Station
Sittin' in the classroom
Thinkin' it's a drag
List'nin' to the teacher
Well just ain't my bag
Noon bells ring
You know that's my cue
I'm gonna meet the boys
On floor number two
Somkin' in the boys' room
Smokin' in the boys' room
Now teacher don't you
Fill me up with your rules
For ev'rybody knows that
Smokin' ain't allowed in school
Checkin' out the halls
Makin' sure the coast is clear
Lookin' in the stalls
No there ain't nobody here
My buddies Syxx, Mick, and Tom*
To get caught would surely
Be the death of us all
Somkin' in the boys' room
Smokin' in the boys' room
Now teacher don't you
Fill me up with your rules
For ev'rybody knows that
Smokin' ain't allowed in school
Well they put me to work
In the school bookstore
Checkout counter and I got bored
Teacher was lookin' for me all around
Two hours later you know
Where I was found
Smokin' in the boys' room
Yes indeed, I was smokin' in the boys' room
Now teacher don't you
Fill me up with your rules
For ev'rybody knows that
Smokin' ain't allowed in school
Now teacher I am fully aware of the rules
For ev'rybody knows that
Smokin' ain't allowed in school

Johnny Cash ~ Sunday Morning Coming Down
Well, I woke up Sunday morning
With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt.
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad,
So I had one more for dessert.
Then I fumbled in my closet through my clothes
And found my cleanest dirty shirt.
Then I washed my face and combed my hair
And stumbled down the stairs to meet the day.
I'd smoked my mind the night before
With cigarettes and songs I'd been picking.
But I lit my first and watched a small kid
Playing with a can that he was kicking.
Then I walked across the street
And caught the Sunday smell of someone frying chicken.
And Lord, it took me back to something that I'd lost
Somewhere, somehow along the way.
On a Sunday morning sidewalk,
I'm wishing, Lord, that I was stoned.
'Cause there's something in a Sunday
That makes a body feel alone.
And there's nothing short a' dying
That's half as lonesome as the sound
Of the sleeping city sidewalk
And Sunday morning coming down.
In the park I saw a daddy
With a laughing little girl that he was swinging.
And I stopped beside a Sunday school
And listened to the songs they were singing.
Then I headed down the street,
And somewhere far away a lonely bell was ringing,
And it echoed through the canyon
Like the disappearing dreams of yesterday.
On a Sunday morning sidewalk,
I'm wishing, Lord, that I was stoned.
'Cause there's something in a Sunday
That makes a body feel alone.
And there's nothing short a' dying
That's half as lonesome as the sound
Of the sleeping city sidewalk
And Sunday morning coming down.

Well one that i think of immediately is Cigarettes by Fort Minor. This entire song uses cigarettes as an analogy so you might like it. Here's some lyrics:
Its just like a cigarette
Its something that I do
Once in a while but between me and you
Its just like a cigarette
No body's really fooled
I don't want the truth
I just wanna feel ****** cool.
Let me tell you somethin that I realized tonight,
My hip-hop radios like Marlboro light,
They're both selling stories and they sound about the same,
Cigarettes say they're safe,
Rappers say they're really bang,
We don't care if its true when we lay the money down,
We don't believe the words,
We just love the way they sound,
They're acting like we're idiots,
They're lying to our face,
Maybe we are idiots,
We buy it anyway
if you like it check out the rest of the song

Turn the Page, Bob Seeger or Metallica
Smoke the day's last cigarette, remembering what she said
In Denial by Pet Shop Boys
Know what I'm thinking, less drugs and drinking, no cigarettes and you'll feel a little less rough.

Don Williams has one that says
Coffee black, cigarettes.
A willing woman...
Travis Tritt has one where Billy Bob Thornton was in
the video. Supposedly a modern day Bonnie & Clyde
held up convience stores and stole cartons of Marlboros.
k.d. Lang has one that mentions smoking a cigarette for breakfast!
The Statler Brothers has one called Flowers on the Wall.
It goes
Counting flowers on the wall
It don't bother me at all.
Playing solitare til dawn
With a deck of 51.
Smoking Cigarettes
And watching Captin Kangeroo.
Now don't tell me, I got nothing to do!

Ben Folds Five did one called "Cigarette" - very very short, and just what you want:
Fred Jones was worn out
from caring for his often
screaming and crying wife
during the day
but
he couldn't sleep at night for
fear that she
in a stupor from the drugs
that didn't ease the pain
would set the house ablaze
with a cigarette
-------------------------
Oh, one more...
Train, "Meet Virginia" - includes these lines:
Smokes a pack a day
Wait, that's me, but anyway,
She doesn't care a thing about that, hey,
She thinks I'm beautiful

try
"Who We Are" by Bad Religion
heres the lyrics
It's cold again it looks like rain
A procession of humanity, strikingly simian
Saunters by, I can't explain
Why it's troubling to see them so
Better than who we are with mania and yearning for and learning from
Better than holiness and candy aisles of loneliness and sweet revenge
A cigarette, a memory
All connections to the permanent are burning
The pedestal gets in the way
And cannot withstand our honest scrutiny
Better than who we are with mania and yearning for and learning from
Better than holiness and candy aisles of loneliness and sweet revenge
Do you feel the chill of December
In the rioting of Spring?
And are we made of something better than clay?
A leap, a fight, a secret rite,
The lonely quest for meaning and the universe is dreaming
