Should I buy a heater and cleaner for my beta's fish tank... or do I just get the normal tank and clean it myself each week??

Depends on the size of your bettas tank really. I would suggest you go with a 2.5 gallon or larger heated and filtered tank for a betta. They can do ok in less, but only if you put in tons of time and effort.

Yes, even with that you will need to clean the tank regularly. A weekly 25% water change is generally accepted as the best method to keep the tank healthy.

Listen, you only really need an algae eater for tanks about 10 gallon and as for heater.. you can try searching for one small enough to fit in your tank but they are rare and you might not find one unless you really search. I would suggest you get one of those beta all in kits they sell at petco (i work there i know) which comes with everything, heater, filter, gravel, little light, and the hole shbang. its a good deal but its pretty expensive for a betta i think its around 25 bucks.

Just clean it yourself. It is pretty simple. Just be careful- I have accidentally dumped one of mine down the drain. I felt terrible.
