Absolutely. By referring to the girls as "nappy headed hoes" he is saying FYI . FYI. FYI. 1.Nappy headed was referred to dark skin people whom are slaves owned by white people" For those who are unaware.
2. hoes which mean they sleep around with whomever and are nasty women.
It just was not acceptable for him to say that. Is that not obvious? blacks are still going through so much racism and being labeled things that they don't want to be called. People need to know their limits and that's basically it. No matter what color you are. Especially knowing what blacks have been through. Its Crazy. He is an example of what is not acceptable obviously not by the world

The only good that came from this is
that other talk show host that can't conduct
themselves in a intelligent civilized fashion
will now be keeping a thumb up their
butt holes and be very careful what they
say. It's going to be nice to watch them
squirm. It's hard to keep the "sH**T" in,
sooner or later its going to come spewing
out and we are going to know their true
colors. Whether he's a racist or not depends
on his personal views. I believe everyone
has sexist and racist views to some extent,
its hard to be pure in a society such as USA. The comment he made doesn't necessarily make him an evil man either, but
it reveals that he has poor judgement and
poor public speaking skills. Most talented
talk show host know how to relate to the
crowd. EG Oprah Winfrey, Bill Clinton,Rudi
Juliani, etc. Most of his commentary is
directed to working class, self centered
white Americans, which may be about 40 to
45% of the USA.

An off color remark does not make for a poor excuse for a human being. I didn't care for Imus before but how much has he raised for his children's charity? A charity that benefits the children of all races. People love to talk about all the bad things people do but never mention the good. I guess the fear is that he might be as human as anybody else and we can feel so good about ourselves tearing someone else down.

How come when a white man says it, it's "racist"- but when blacks introduce such slogans into pop culture through rap songs, and spew such slogans and much worse, no one cares? Talk about a double standard! Then Imus gets fired by the company that is owned by the same corp that owns MTV and other businesses that promote the rap music from whence such slogans originated. But it's O-K, ya can do anything to a white man without repercussions.

That, regrettably, is how many human beings think of. To view the worldwide purely by your eyes or point of view narrows your questioning means. I see others as "distinctive" than i'm, yet with greater similarities as human beings than distinctive.

I do have to give him credit, he did go to meet with and apologize to the women that he had insulted, even though it wouldn't help him keep his job. That was the right thing to do. Hopefully, this will be the start of a change, where people will start respecting others again.

No. Again, people have diffrent views. People need to get over it. Next thing you know we're going to be suing eachother for coughing in the wrong direction. Right to Free Speech, weather you like it or not, is a birth right.

You must have watched his TV show and listened to his radio program to have such a strong opinion. If you are not familiar with who he is, and what he stands for, your are just a by-product of media hype. You are a pawn to the name game, and the content of your question shows your guilt.
