How do I say goodbye? I wave my hands to say goodbye, give a nice kiss to say goodbye, shake hands, give a good huge to say goodbye, say (speak)goodbye to the person, buy a gift card or presents, buy some lovely flowers, organise a farewell party, talk photo's to say goodbye and more! I hope these answers your question.

With friends or family members -- I say, take care, or talk to you later, or bye now.
My darling man and I never say goodbye --when we are done talking on the phone or parting in person for a while, we always say "I love you".

That depends on who you're saying "goodbye" to. To an ex....."Hope you're happy, jerk." To a friend......"Take care! Talk to you soon!" (or something of that nature---perhaps a hug tossed in there). To a lover....A big snuggly hug and a deep kiss that they'll long for again until they see you again. To someone you don't know (like if you are at work and deal with the public)..."Thanks, have a nice day."

If I'm only leaving home and then I'll be back, I just say bye. But if I'm not gonna see that person again, I usually give a brief speech or if I have time, I write 'em a letter.

It depends on the type of good-bye that you're referring to. To a friend that's moving to another state, you don't want to say good-bye, but "until we meet again". To one that you've lost in death....that's a bit harder. Especially when it's a family member or a very dear friend. Those are the hardest good-byes. For me...I don't like to say good-bye to friends or family as it seems final.
