umm...no, turkey's infrastructure is outdated, its court system is dated and its civil rights are not one to be a fan of.
and along with numerous other technicalities along the line of economic (the new lira) military and trade, the EU really does not want anyone else in, especially turkley and the new problems turkey would bring.
after the last round of idiots that got brought into the EU, i think finally the EU has realized it expanded to fast and about ready to do everything but collapse, kind of like blowing a balloon up to much to fast.

the Europeans rejected Turkey..and they still do..its about culture..they are losing their culture in Europe..it will not help to keep Turkey out but it will slow down the process. Europe is screwed and they know it..too many immigrants..just like the rest of the rich industrialized couturiers of the world.
