A visit visa valid for 60 days, can be renewed for a further 30 days upon paying a fee of Dhs 500 at the Department of Immigration. Alternatively, a ‘visa run’ can be made, which entails flying to Doha, Muscat or Kish and re-entering Dubai on a new visit visa.

Costs of visa run:

Flying to Kish: Dh530, which includes one night stay at the Farabi Hotel

Qeshm Airlines seven flights daily from Dubai to Qeshm (another Iranian island): Return ticket: Dh510.

Qatar Airways two flights daily to Doha. Fare: Dh780.

Oman Air three flights daily to Muscat. Fare: Dh630.

Take care

First - who is the sponsor? If the sponsor is a person or any company, YES, you can extend it for 30 more days by paying Dhs.550/-. However if your visa is sponsored by a Tourist or Tourism company, than it cannot be renewed for another 30 days. This is also applicable for 60 day visas given by Hotels & Airlines. Easiest way to find out is to check the visa copy.

If you visa is issued by any other Emirate besides Dubai, it is advisable you renew it atleast 10 days before the expiry.

If your visa is issued in Dubai, you may renew it just a day before the expiry or on the same same. Procedure to renew in Dubai is to visit any typing center, that will do the typing work and also collect the fees of Dhs.550/- and give you paper work to go to the Immigration (timing 8 am to 2 pm) along with your passport and they renew it immediately. IT IS ADVISABLE THAT A PRO DOES THIS.

Your position of abode visa will expire 30 days after cancellation. at the same time as the authorities terminate a resident's visa that does no longer mean that your licence turns into invalid. A driver's licence remains valid in Dubai so long because it hasn't expired. The record is considered perfect provided it replaced into issued upon a valid position of abode visa. Dubai courtroom of Cassation If an identical ruling applies in Abu Dhabi and a lease a vehicle follows this courtroom decision - questionable. Being on a visit visa, an IDP often is needed.

The visit visa is valid for 60 days initially and can be extended for further 30 days. Your sponsor has to contact the immigration office to do so and the fee will be AED 500.
