what form do i use to get money back for donations?

i dont know if what im even asking makes sense or is a real question. im totally confused about this tax thing!

If you itemize, you can claim eligible charitable expenses as a tax deduction. You'd use schedule A. See the 1040 instruction booklet, appendix A, for more detailed information.

You don't get your entire donation back, but might decrease your income tax by a percentage of the donation.
