Why do many people think girls that dress revealing and show alot off are stupid?

Because generally speaking they reveal other women's insecurities and men's vulnerabilities....and while they cannot doubt or denigrate her exposed physical body parts which everyone can see, they can fantasize that she's more stupid and empty-headed than they are.
Its a defense mechanism.

I'd say it's a combination of factors. Perhaps it's just a commonly accepted law that cam around because a stereotype was put into place somehow, and now all the girls that do dress revealingly feel a need to fir that stereotype - a need to be who society says they should be based on how they dressed.

Or maybe it's one of those things where one bad apple spoils the whole bunch. It's amazing how one bad encounter with an individual of a certain type easily overrules any and all good encounters with other individuals of a same type.

I'd also that, for some people at least, it's a matter or self-respect, and of respect for others. Some may find it vulgar or rude, and thus equate that vulgarity or rudeness with stupidity.

I'm sure there's more to it than that, though. It's something that's been bred or coded into us, or at least into the newer generations. We make assumptions based solely on what we see up front, and these assumptions are provided to us by a society that stereotypes everything. So then these gurls that dress in a more revealing way than others feel the need to fit into a more "stupid" mindset, and thus prove the stereotypes to everyone else. Ahh, what a vicious cycle, huh?

If a girl shows some of her breasts or arms or legs I think that it is nothing wrong with that and the people that has a problem with it they are just mad because they can't do the same. Plus you could have a husband and have on a dress that shows a little and you're not desperate.

Because people are just seeing what you are portraying. When you dress sexy, revealing or provocatively, the last thing that is going to come to someone's mind is your IQ. Normally people tend to group people into categories and unfortunately, one of those categories or in essence stigma if you want to think of it like that, is that when you see a chick dressed in a revealing matter they think lots of things other than intelligence.

Because they are relying on their bodies to get ahead in life instead of their skills and intelligence. Their whole goal in life is to find some guy to pay for everything so they don't have to work, and can stay home and be pretty all day. Women with real intelligence have every intention of using it. I say that, but you could also make the case that the woman who sits on her a** all day may in fact be the smarter one...

Maybe they have lost a ton of weight and they like showing that they are really sexy now. And then there are those that dress scantly that just do it because it is fashionable.

Its not that they think that they are stupid. they know that it is a cry out for attention. they realize that if she will go this far to draw attention to herself, she is lacking in self esteem. so they use her.
