Could have key off low amp short to ground. To check:Connect a volt meter or test light between the positive terminal and the positive cable. If you have a reading with the key off you have a hot wire going to ground or a bad diode trio in the rectifier.Any circuit that is hot with the key off can cause this problem.Un plug fuses till the reading is zero. That will be the problem circuit.Make sure when engine is running it is charging more than 12 volts at the battery.

Get a voltmeter and make sure you're getting about 14 volts to the battery with the engine running. Those little batteries aren't worth much once they've been dead a few times, so you might just have a bad one. If you can figure out how to use an ammeter, that's the best way to check for something draining the battery when the key is off.

Are you sure the battery is good? Just because it starts off a boost and then for a couple of times after doesn't mean it isn't trashed. Take to some one and get it checked out properly.
If you live in a cold climate and don't use a trickle charger, it is not unusual for a battery to die after 3 years.

you see the problem with some of the answer you get is some time there are people talking that shouldn't
the voltmeter ans were is a good one, the alternator is a bad one,as motorcycles don't have alternators the have stators
and rectifiers.get a volt meter check the volts with the bike running you should have somewherearound 13.9 volts if you don't get you a rectifier

Sounds like a charging issue an alternator check would be suggested. Another possibility is a short circuit.
