Politics is an intense subject. It is almost always full of fights. But I think that a simple Google ssearch could prove useful, political debates are all over the internet.

Try usenet. alt.politics has some excellent debates, but the language can get rough at times. I find more knowledgeable people there, but being unmoderated it has it's flame wars. Be warned.
