Earlier today I asked what the deal was with the new Yahoo! police. Now I get it. I've been looking at a lot of racist questions in the cultures and groups section of answers. I think that this madness needs to stop. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I dont think that they should go out of their way just to hurt others' feelings. Do you agree with me? Any comments?

Yes. I've noticed way too many of questions and answers like that. A lot of people on here don't even care about what is being asked, they just feel the need to be "funny" and act rude and mean. I agree that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but many people take theirs way too far, like the racial comments. People post questions on here because they don't know what the answer is, that's what this is for. But then people act like their stupid for not knowing what to do or what the answer is.

Racism happens at every corner of the world on yahoo answers. It is not a one way street, either. But, if the majority of us keep plugging away at the right questions and the right answers maybe the other bad people will just fade away after being reported like 50 times before they are gone All one can do is to make sure that they are pure of heart and mind and take IGNORE 101 and do the best that one can!

Also, remember....many of the jerks are on drugs or drunk on here......they have no conscience!

It's cool that you can say, and see, what's really on other people's minds. Unfortunately the price to pay is that a bunch of morons and kids will post offensive stuff just to get attention. I agree, I do get tired of some of it. But I also provide "annoying" answers at times when I think the question is stupid and I'm in the mood.

I agree completely. Some of those questions and opinions aren't called for because they are mean, hurtful, downright rude and stereotypes. I understand some people really want to understand another person's culture but some questions are extreme. Yes, they are entitle to their opinion but that doesn't mean everybody wants to read it on their computer screen. Just ignore the question, because they are just looking for attention and wants to stir up trouble.

It is sad that there is so many racist, rude and annoying answers and questions. But the sad truth is there will always be those people out there who has to hurt others, that is the way they get their "jollys". I guess the only thing we can hope for is the day of enlightenment, when people will realize it is not worth it to demean someone else for ones own pleasure.

First of all, I choose not to be easily offended. I consider the source.

Second, just like the on/off button, we have a choice. Either ignore the trash and only select serious questions, or don't particpate in "Yahoo Answers" at all.

This place like others is becoming a Jerry Springer lifestyle. This is an ambiguous place where people can be as rude, prejudice, as crass and as predatory as they wish with little to no recourse. Now if the staff would start sending them letters at home, i suspect they might change.

Yes, I do agree with you. I wanted to post a link to a video in a question, but it didn't get posted, and I lost 10 points. But people like Rico and others can post rude questions and have them posted. It's ridiculous!

Lets face it. Reverse Discrimination is the law.
Everyone MAY be entitled to have their own opinion but if you are white--don't voice it. I sure won't.

Being mean is wrong, but honesty has a high price some times.
