i do not think that is a fair question....if i were prez, i'd do a really rad job....i am as far from bush as one could be, but i don't think that i speak coherently...especially in public....i am more concerned about the fact that he is the president of the most powerful country in the world and is only concerned for his friends and himself.....leaving all else behind....coherent or incoherent plays no part in his job or anything he has accomplished thus far.

Many Texans speak the way President Bush speaks. My step-grandmother was from Austin and spoke that way. However, Bush's Texas accent is an acquired one from living in Texas for the last 25 years or so. He is originally from Connecticut, went to private schools in New England, and has degrees from Yale and Harvard.

You've really got it bad for Bush, eh?

As for your question, I can think of numerous actors in Hollywood that can speak very coherently - but their rhetoric indicates a definite lack of any common sense what so ever.

I guess speaking coherently really isn't much of a criteria to judge a person's leadership abilities by.

I can't believe all of the people (Cons) who are saying that the President doesn't have to be an articulate speaker.

How absurd. The President of the United States should be eloquent and quick on his feet. Period. Bush is embarassing to the nation with his fumbling and stumbling.

well, sometimes the teleprompter glitches or that little mic in his ear goes on the blink so he has to try to speak for himself.

his handlers have gotten him some acting coaches so he isn't quite as embarrassing as he used to be.

I think he does for the most part. The gaffs come from speaking honestly and reflect his first thoughts on a subject. He simply isn't a good liar.

I have watched him give many speeches and he does speak coherently. He has a condition that he has overcome quite well.

Because he couldn't! hehe!

It's such a shame but then you folks elected him twice and now there is no point in complaining. (Even if some say it was all a fraud!)
