This is how it works, Professionals test these bikes for magazines and if you were to read 4 different motorcycle magazines, you'd end up with different 1/4 mile ET's and top speed. This mag. claims this bike is faster and that mag. states this is the fastest production.

Between the Kawasaki and Suzuki, it is a flip of a coin.
Does it really matter if your bike can do 185 or 190mph or 9.52 sec. @ 148mph in the quarter mi. They are 150lb. pro and we are not.

Here's my view on the Hayabusa, it's a great bike for (Racing), on the street you need to do this. Do not crack the throttle back for atleast one month of ride time. You really need to get the feel of that bike. Almost everyone who has owned one either loaned their bike to a friend and they crashed it with in a week, just because of the power. Between 2-3 gear you can twist the throttle back and the front tire will pop off the ground and wheel stand or flip you off. It has so much power, at 80 mph, you can pull the wheel off the ground. Make sure you are wearing a Vanson leather jacket and full face helmet all the time. It's not if you will ever fall, it's when!

well its a tric question. you only asked is there a faster production bike then the hayabusa 1300, well folks if you want to be totaly honest "harley davidson " holds the title for fastest production bike and its with a sportster motor at the salt flats, a little over 300MPH, yes i know its not a street bike but it was and still is in production , so tecnicly its true, but for the fastest street bike its a y2k because it uses a helicopter motor, again you didnt ask for the fastes 4 stroke production bike with factory motor, also there is the bike that dodge had the viper motor , and since there was more then one sold to the public then it qualifies as a production bike.

To actually answer your question, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX14 is faster in the magazine tests I've read. Do you actually need one on the road? No, but it is faster in the right hands.

Yes they make a 1400 now and depending on what you want the 1000 they make will take them both out from the hole shot but eventually inertia kicks in and the H/P will prevail.
