We're both in college. He's a senior (graduating '07) and I'm a sophomore. He's been a great friend and inspiration to me, and I'm sad that he's leaving soon. I really admire him/like him, but dont have the courage to tell him EXACTLY how I feel. I've spent my life having to say goodbye to people that I care about, and here I am yet again--trying to let go. I'll move on just like I've always had to do, but it's hard.

If you have ever been in my situation, would you please tell me your story? Maybe I'll find comfort in knowing that I'm not alone in the way that I feel. Even if you've never been through this, just share your thoughts.

You know whats worse then not telling this person how you feel and the thought of being rejected?........ The fact for the rest of your life you will regret that you didn't and what might have been. It hurts alot to find out someone you care for don't share the same feelings...But you get over it in a shot period of time. But to wonder what could of been and the lose of what might have happen if you spoke up , might haunt you for many many years to come. I was once in love with a girl in school....I was to scared to tell her.... I saw her about 10 years later...she was married and had a couple of children... She told me then she had a crush on me back in school and wondered why I never made a move .... I always wondered what might have been if I only spoke up

Ok, tell him. What is the worst that will happen. If he doesn't feel the same way then you will be where you are now. Listen, life is too short and living with regrets is not a fun thing to do.

Well unless it was mainly a physical relationship there is no reason you can't continue to stay in touch. We do live in country with close to free long distance and of course internet.

I highly recomend you tell all the positive stuff that's in your heart and mind. It may be uncomfortable, but at least you'll have had a chance to say it.
