it was on purpose but it was self defense. he has a 18 year old sister. she & i were friends now we barely look at each other. and when we do get eye contact she gives me a dirty look or just stares. im not used to that (not saying im a saint & no1 has ever "hated" me). i want to say sorry but our moms dont get along well. my mom says dont say sorry. if i do how should i ? and should i say sorry 1st or should he? WHAT CAN I DO!!!!???

Wow...takes a real man to punch a child fresh outta diapers. There's no way you can make it right again, whether you apologize or not. I'm assuming you're close to 18 then, since your friend is 18? How do you have to defend yourself against a baby? If someone punched my 6 year old, they'd have hell to pay and had better hope the police got there first.

If you had a friend 18 yrs old then you must be reasonably close in age 17-19. Its hard to believe that you had to punch a 6 yr old on purpose. Its even harder to believe that you don't know how to apologize. And if you don't know how to apologize maybe you need some psychological help to curb your anger.

How old are you? More then 8? you should be in jail.
Apologize to the kid, to his sister, to his mom, to your mom, to your God if you have one.
Tears might work during the apology.How can you punch a child?
Hell,I live Hawaii and we got 150 pound 6 year olds here but you still dont punch them.
Got a beef with his sister, take it up with her.

I don't blame his sister for not looking at you and giving you dirty looks.You deserve a lot worse than that.
Yes..........you should say sorry and you're lucky no one called the police and reported you.I would have.That's assault.
You need to apologize to his family too.
Go there and apologize to all of them and hope they forgive you.

First of all... You're mother is immature and ridiculous for telling you not to apologize. Sounds to me like you have more sense than she does from the "go".
Definitely apologize. Just go to their home and tell the mother that you wish to apologize to her son. IF she allows you to (which she certainly should unless she's ridiculous too) then do so genuinely.
What you did will effect this child for the rest of his life... believe it.
You can make a HUGE and lasting difference in this little guys life if only you apologize and tell him that you were wrong for ever touching him.
It doesn't take much to apologize but guts.
Forget about his sister.... You aren't apologizing for his sisters sake... You're doing what you know is right for her little brother....
Do the best you can to rectify your mistake and you can not only respect yourself but ppl will respect you... Believe me... they will... :o)

You need to apologize. You obviously fell bad about it. You need to do the right thing. You should be the better person and apologize first because you hit him. You can call him or see him in person and tell him your sorry for how you acted and you hope you could still be civil.
