B. The pentagon has perimeter of 8*5 = 40. The decagon has 10 sides, so each side has length 40/10 = 4.

This isn't surface area and volume, but easier for all of us then!

Decagon has 10 sides, pentagon 5. Therefore, the pentagon's perimeter is 5*8 = 40. That would make the side of a decagon equal to 40/10 sides = 4. {B}
