What an open question. It all depends on you. TAMPA is a city in Hillsborough county that has a down town and stretches out thru the county. People in out lying areas of the county consider they live in Tampa due to the ease of people knowing where Tampa is. Tampa Bay area also includes Clearwater and St Pete. People that can choose where they want to live may choose to live close to malls, parks, waterways, beaches, family, friends and work.

If you are looking for information on a good place to live for you more information would be needed to answer that.

For me the best place to live in Tampa is nowhere, I live north of Tampa in Pasco county and work in Tampa with a 45 min commute.

After living in the Tampa area for 10yrs and residing in three different cities (Ruskin, Carrollwood and Brandon) I can honestly say Brandon is the best place to live, housing is fairly priced, you will find most of the major stores, the mall is very nice although getting in an out can be a challenge during the weekends and holidays, great and variety of cuisines. Its centrally located and you can catch I-75, I-4 or the Selmon Expressway to take you anywhere you want to go. I work in Tampa and live in Brandon, not a bad drive. I hope this helps narrow it down.
