Actually, what a person chooses is not the child's gender (brain, personality), but their sex (body). Just because you have what looks like a girl or boy, it doesn't mean that they *really* are inside where it counts. There are girls wrongly born with male parts, and boys wrongly born with female parts.
So what would you do if you went to all the trouble to get a boy baby, only to have them grow up, cut themselves off from you, and get sex-reassignment surgery to make their physical sex match their gender. You might be resentful and angry. You may have had all the feelings and your heart set on having a son and related to him later as man to man, but have your heart torn when they announce that they were a girl/woman inside all their lives and that they are going to change their sex through surgery and live according to their correct gender that they had inside all along.

Well, I think I would leave it up to chance, but...I would pray for a little girl, and if that is what fate says I should get, then so be it, but, I would still love the baby no matter what.

go away it to risk. There could be too lots of one gender at one element in time, then the worldwide could no longer provreate. look at those cities in India that are all men, by fact parents killed off all the toddler women.
