I had breast reduction surgery over 6 weeks ago and am no way near the end of this tramatic experience. My plastic surgeon just kept telling me everything was Ok, but it is far from OK. The incisions down the front of my breasts are about 4" wide and 2-3" deep. If it keeps getting deeper I wll be looking at my back bone. I just spent 4 days in the hospital on IV's to help start clearing up the infection that my plastic surgeon says wasn't there. Although it is still infected at least I know, kind of, what I am dealing with. The wound specialist says it is sudomosis (sp), but I can't find any information about it. I really don't want to go back to the same plastic surgeon, but it seems as if no one wants to touch it since it isn't their work. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I believe it is spelled pseudomonas, and it is a bacterial infection (can have a sweet musty odor). I would think you would need some serious antibiotics. Do you have fever?

You should talk to your wound specialist and ask them to elaborate on what Pseudomonas is.

I would also seek legal counsel. There is obviously a problem that your PS refuses to see and he should be held liable.

I'm so sorry to hear that your experience was horrible and wish you good luck and thoughts for you to recover.

Edit: I googled what clovis said the spelling was and found a hit on wiki:
