Castaway...especially the part where he chucks his BFF into the ocean after a petty argument, then feels bad that his best friend might drown, so he saves Wilson and expresses his heartfelt sorrow.

Well I kinda thought the movie Click was a sad movie near the end cause Adam Sandler dies when hes old. But in the end he is just dreaming the whole thing happened. Another movie was Bridge to Terabithia cause the boys friend drowns. Both those movies brought tears to my eyes.

Geez, all the ones I thought of were already on here, but for one, so I will tell you that one and then agree with the rest.

One of my favorites is Steel Magnolias. That one always makes me cry. Beaches kills me each and every time, even though I already know what is going to happen.

Just the other day my friend's husband and I were talking about Pay It Forward. HE even admitted to crying his eyes off from that one!!

The Notebook hit really close to home because someone recommended we see it to understand what was happening with our aunt. Very sad!!

The Titanic of course is wonderful and much crying involved.

I also REALLY liked Life Is Beautiful. My (ex)husband tried to talk me out of seeing it, because he really thought it would hurt my feelings too much. It was really horrible, but a really, really sweet story too. Much crying involved as well.

I know all of these have been listed already, but that is all the ones I thought of too, so since we are all saying the same things, they must be the ones, huh?

P.S. Saving Private Ryan and Green Mile were also really good!

For me it's THE KILLING FIELDS.

(I believe nobody has answered this movie title before. But I do believe that this is the most heart-breaking story I have ever watched in my entire life.)

This harrowing but rewarding 1984 drama concerns the real-life relationship between New York Times reporter Sidney Schanberg and his Cambodian assistant Dith Pran (Haing S. Ngor),

The Killing Fields, is one of the defining films in it's class; based on the true story of an American journalist working in Cambodia and his guide/interpreter; a Cambodian. When the Khmer Rouge (probably one of the most vicious and barbaric regimes in history) takes power the Westerners flee. The enterprising American, however, remains behind with his faithful guide (who sends his family off to America). This turns out to be a bad decision; through a series of misadventures Dith Pran cannot escape Cambodia and must remain behind while his friend flees. The movie weaves a wonderful tale of adventure, misadventure, loss, suffering, death, and reunion (in no particular order).

This movie is so beautiful and touching (and so very graphic) that one cannot help but be affected by it; a must-see, one of the defining movies on the subject of war as well as loss and certainly the most evocative film about the Khmer Rouge and the Viet Nam War in Cambodia. A beautiful film about war and tragedy but filled with hope throughout...

Filmmaker Roland Joffé, previously a documentarist, made his feature debut with this account of Dith's rocky survival in the ensuing madness of the Khmer Rouge's genocidal campaign. The script spends some time with Schanberg's feelings of guilt after the fact, but most of the movie is a shattering re-creation of hell on Earth. The late Haing S. Ngor--a real-life doctor who had never acted before and who lived through the events depicted by Joffé--is outstanding, and he won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar. Oscars also went to cinematographer Chris Menges and editor Jim Clark.

Million Dollar Baby with Hillary Swank, Clint Eastwood, and Morgan Freeman. It's a fantastic movie, but it is without a doubt the saddest movie I think I've seen to date. You'll cry. . .

For me it's definitely The Pianist. It's a three hour movie that I will never watch again. That movie is soooooo sad, there is a full hour that just made me sick. I wanted to leave the room, but I stayed. It's an excellent movie, but very heartbreaking.

Definitely Lorenzo's Oil. It's a true story of Lorenzo Adone, who has ALD, a terribly debilitating disease that robbed him of pretty much everything, around the age of five. I never cry and I started weeping right in the middle of class when we saw that movie for biology.

So if you need a good cry, watch that. You'll bawl your eyes out.
