I've always considered prejudice to be something that everyone does. Prejudice pretty much means judging someone before getting to know them, most people have done this at one point or another. Prejudice doesn't necessarily lead to racism, bias or discrimination. Discrimination is prejudice in action. I feel it's when a person takes their prejudices, refuses to discard them dispute what a person may really be like and treats that person in accordance to what they judge them to be.
So, while prejudice would be seeing an African-American man and assuming he's a criminal, discrimination would be refusing him admission into your establish or business based on that judgement.

Technically,
prejudice is the act of pre-judging something, making judments about others without having a complete understanding of the facts.
Discrimination is the act of treating people based on a category to which they belong, and this act usually stems from prejudice which is why the word "discrimination" carries a sense of unfairness rather than of objectively separating things scientifically.

In recent times the word "discrimination" has taken on a negative connotation. The word actually denotes in the first two definitions what any intelligent person should do:
To make a clear distinction; distinguish: discriminate among the options available.
To make sensible decisions; judge wisely.
To make distinctions on the basis of class or category without regard to individual merit; show preference or prejudice: was accused of discriminating against women; discriminated in favor of his cronie

Actually, Prejudice and Discrimination are too closely related to have differences.
Prejudice is the act of pre-judging something / someone before having all of the facts.
Discrimination is the act of alienating something/someone based on prejudicial context.

prejudice is a bias that you have or a negative way of thinking toward any group of people. it can just be something you harbor in your thoughts and don't necessarily show out it public. discrimination is acting on your prejudices.

Prejudice is the act of 'pre-judging' based on appearance or stereotypical ideas (oh, her name ends in an "ski" she must be a stupid polish) Discrimination means to separate based on appearance. (I don't like green bannanas, therefore I buy the yellow ones: I have just discriminated the two apart based on my preference)
