I've only been using Q&A recently (quite addicted to it I have to say!) but I have noticed the high proportion of religious members, more so than any other group. Why do you think this is?

Well when you consider the fact that 80% of the country believes in God, just about any group will have a higher proportion of religious members to atheists.

how can there be more religious members than any other group? There's only religious and non-religious. and since most people in the united states are members of some religion (aproximately 95%) it makes sense that most people on this website would be religious.

I believe its because people are trying to learn, here you can hide behind a PC and ask what you like and nobody knows who you are, many are so called non believers who like the rest of us are looking for answers, because the truth what ever you believe is hard to accept. Belief in God is one of those things that people have been trying to prove one way of another for years, and NO ONE has come with any proof that there is no God, and any evidence to say there is, is pushed aside as fake, false, or just plain lies.
Those you do believe in God many believe they have proof, but much is just faith in God and not proof, others just mock God because they have no idea, and for some they are scared that God is real, have you ever wondered why so many non believers are on a religious site when they say they don't believe, in truth they don't know and are looking as i said for answers.

what's wrong with religious people? Are they bothering you with their beliefs? By asserting that they present in large numbers, you seem to be claiming some kind of intellectual superiority over them - not good.
