I just got the battery changed and a week later it is dead. The alternator is fine. What else can it be?

Adjust tension on engine belts.

Jump start car by pushing car and entering 2nd gear.

Reconfirm the alternator is ok. Use multimeter to probe battery terminals for about 13-14V.
If alternator is ok, there is a drain. I experienced a drain because a light bulb burnt and shorted.

If it is dead after sitting over night, I'd check for a drain and make sure that you don't have anything left on including things plugged into a power point or the famous dome light. It is possible to have a bad battery too.

Take the starter off take it to parts store and have them check it, also, look on the teeth of the gears on the starter and ring gear to see if they are worn or look ok.
