The earth first is made up of three layers. Going from the outside and going through the earth like you were pealing an apple the peal is the CRUST whether it is land or water (Ocean), then inside of the Crust is the MANTLE which is where Lava is at (heated earth/rocks in a liquid form) and finally in the center of the apple is the CORE. As for on the crust, where we live, we have the igneous rocks, the sedimentary rocks, and metamorphic rocks. Hope it helps.

Igneous: the rock formed out of cooled lava
Sedimentary: grains of sand were compacted and compressed to form this type of rock
Metamorphic: igneous or sedimentary rock that was heated and put pressure on to change its form and texture

The Main layers is the CRUST (includes continental and oceanic) the MANTLE, & the CORE (includes outer and inner). thats all i kno...i dont specifically kno the rocks it has but maybe that will make ur research a little smoother. =D
