i like mariah's songs better but madonna is more creative style-wise.

Mariah Carey and Madonna are both insane, both in their own very speshull ways. Heh. If you want to listen to a wonderful female pop artist, then go listen to Janet Jackson. She's been around just as long, and she doesn't have to break plates or reinvent herself to stay famous and successful.

If i had to chose..
Madonna because she was around when really old ppl were teens,and that means she is worth something + she always reinvents herself and that makes her fans never et bored of her.
