Does it matter if its a boy or a girl. I read an answer today about a 15 year old who had her fourth lifetime sex partner at a party last night. It made me sad.If it was a boy would it matter? I don't think kids of either gender are emotionally equipped under the age of 16. What do you think?

I wish kids would wait until at least after college when they're adults and can (usually) make informed decisions on their own. As well they should also be in a long-term relationship. It makes me sick to see 14 and 15 year olds, and in some cases even younger, already having sex for the most ridiculous and pathetic reasons, like fitting in, or feeling better about themselves, or feeling more "grown up" or just not thinking about the consequences. Parents need to take a much stronger role in their kids lives and really be honest with them while laying down the law.

When they're in a relationship that is steady, secure, and mature, and they actually love each other (not some silly fling). Also, being financially set and prepared to have a kid might help too. I don't think any of them are emotionally equipped until 20+ and that's early! It's because of our culture. People do it either cuz everyone else is, or they can't control their own emotions. What happened to dignity, honor, and purity? What happened to morals at all?

1. When they are ready to actually raise a child and have already planned out financial things and all that junk

2. You really can't stop a 17 year old from having those kinds of thoughts, so...you know...but 18 should be the right age

Hey, I was 20 and in love for my first experience, on the pill, and prepared emotionally; with a man I had dated 1 1/2 years prior to us starting our sexual relationship.

15 is too young.

I don't think sex is ok until 17 but you can't exactly stop someone of that age from thinking sexual thoughts. Our society is going down the drain.
