Well, i was just wondering, has there ever been a time when you asked a question, and there was more than one really good answer, and u wanted to show both ppl ur appreciation by giving them both best answer, but u could only choose one? I was wondering how many ppl would like it if instead of giving all 10 points to a person, u can also choose to split the points among the ppl that helped.

Well you can't split the points, but here's two other options.

#1 you can put the question to a vote instead of putting the pressure on yourself.

#2 you can choose the *best* best answer and still give the other person props when you comment on the one you choose.

I am pretty new to this but I have already had to face that with two questions. I try to go with the first answer that I like if there is no clear cut best answer.
I would be happy to give more than one person 10 of my own points if I could.

I had the same situation not too long ago....I just thanked in a special way the one that I did not choose for best answer......do you really want to split that? The Top Contributor badges would be all messed up for yahoo ......lol

I completely agree. I recently had this problem and lamented about it in the comments section of my "best answer" choice.

The idea is completely warrented. However, I'm no web master, so I have no idea the complexity that would be involved to implement this idea.

that is a good idea, but I honestly think that there are more important things to worry about in life.

good way to solve the problem, though.
