You're only a goth if you want to be. Sometimes the clothes do not make the man or woman.

Well, if you wear the color black all the time people would more than likely think you to be a bit depressed. And depression is more closely associated with goths or emos. So, if you don't want to be viewed as that kind of crazy, throw in a little pink. There, problem solved.

I think it depends on the hairstyle and jewelry that is worn along with black to give it that "goth" look. Black is also worn alot by theater people because they have to hide in the dark at work. Black is also associated with depression.

It usually has to do with more than just the black clothes. A Priest wears black all the time. Most people are just usually in denial. If you bark your a dog. If you meow your a cat.

Goths are trying to be different and alternative i think but don't try dressing black, try being black for a day. Can't get more alternative than that.

people love to stereotype and they love to put most of the blame on the gothic subculture. we were blamed for school shootings, suicides, and many other things that had NOTHING to do with us. it's pretty rediculous.

People like to label things. It's a natural system of categorization in the brain. People want to have a nice neat tidy drawer to stick you in with like members.
