The Soviet Union has never been a part of China and neither has China ever been a part of the Soviet Union. They have always been two separate countries although, over the years, there have been territorial disputes between the two great land masses.

No such thing. The Soviet Union dissolved in 1992 after Reagan put the U.S. dollar to work on the military build up. Communist China was formed by Mao Tse Tung in 1949 after the revolution there. They are two separate nations, in fact many more as Russia lost all its holding countries.
