1997 gsxr convrted?

i covrted a 1997 motor to a 2002 fuel injected motor wiring harness is on for the 2002 but the instrument cluster off of the 1997 and the 2002 wont work,i checked all the wiring and for grounds missing.everything is ok.whats the problem?

YES I HAVE THE 2002 ECM IN IT

Are you using the ECM from the 2002 motor.
The ECM may not be compatable with instrument cluster.
