Mr. Drake
4/8/2007
On Sunday noon I went to the balboa park to see the “of gold and grass nomads of
Kazakhstan”, which displayed in the Mingei international museum. In the exbation, there
were artifact from Kazakhstan such as swords, tools, and gold made jewels.
Kazakhstan is a country with ancient history, is used to be a part of the Soviet Union
until in 1991 when the soviet union fall apart and Kazakhstan appeared. It is the located
between Europe and Asia. From many artifact in the museum I noticed that many of
them are made of gold. Maybe that’s because Kazakhstan is rich of gold and may other
resources . Not only Kazakhstan is rich of gold and resources but it is also rich of culture.
ancient people of Kazakhstan is very similar to Mongols, for they all are nomads.
Kazakhstan nomads lives in a yurt, which is a tent that can by moved easily and daily.
The yurt is the home of the Kazakhstan nomads, for they don’t have a stable living area.
The open top of the yurt permits smoke from the central hearth to escape; temperature
and draft can be controlled by a flap that increases or decreases the size of the opening. A
properly constructed yurt can be cooled in summer and warmed in winter, and it can be
disassembled or set up in less than an hour. The interior of the yurt has ritual significance.
Kazakhstan also have a great amount of literature knowledge. In the sixteen century.
Most of their literature are in the form of words and songs, and many story are told as
Epic poems to the listeners. Tales such as Kobkabdy-batir and Er targyn are told in the
Sixteen century.
.
Today Kazakhstan is the 9th biggest country in the world by land area, but it ranks
62nd in population. That means people in Kazakhstan are very spread out and still many
Land area unmanaged. It averaged 15 people in very square mile, it is very little compare
To America which is averaged 77 people per square mile. The largest city in Kazakhstan
Astana, which is newly built in 1998 and also it was the capitals of Kazakhstan.
Natural resources such as copper, uranium, lead, zinc, and coal and gold are in
Kazakhstan in a large amount. There is about 40 billion in foreign investment in
Kazakhstan since 1993 and accounts for some 57% of the nation's industrial output.
According to some estimates
