Of course being the winningest football team in college football history means Michigan is better. I will have to concede Ohio State has beaten Michigan the last few years but for those who are a "what have you done for me lately" fan, we don't want you anyway because you are not a true fan. Michigan continues to be dominant year after year and not only are they going to whip OSU this year they are going to win the Big Ten by a mile. If you are an Ohio State fan, it must be comforting knowing you have the best players money can buy.

Personal preferences aside, you have to give credit to schools that built massive stadiums in the 1920's in order to try and one-up each other. And kept adding on to them every couple of years in an attempt to keep one-upping each other, without creating some eyesore architectural disaster like Neyland Stadium or Beaver Stadium.

Favorite OSU game? Plenty in mind, but probably Illinois' Dave Wilson shredding their defense for 621 yards passing. Or any of the Illinois streaks of upsetting OSU in the early '90s.

Favorite Michigan game? Probably the diving catch in '93 which allowed Illinois to come back and win.

Go Illini!

ohio state<3. my favorite player was probably troy smith or chris wells
.
michigan only leads the rivalry by about 15 games anyways. i personally think ohio state is going to dominate michigan football for the next few years. lets just say lloyd carr is sht when it comes to the osu rivalry/bowl games.

Ohio State has loyal fans......U of M has fair weather fans....or is that MSU?

Either way....I've researched the entire rivlary and you have to admit, it is one of the most intense rivalaries known throughout college football. You know what its like here (I live NE of Columbus)....its Buckeye country all the way. People take the Buckeyes so seriously and I think thats a cool thing. What is even cooler, is that because the fans take things so seriously, the players put their heart and soul into what takes place on that field on Saturday afternoons.

My all time favorite player from OSU is Eddie George. For the way he played and the way he is off the field....he IS OSU all the way....

It is what it is.....and shall forever remain so....

I GUESS NOBODY IS PERFECT AND MICHIGAN FANS PROVE THAT EVERY YEAR. ADMITTEDLY WE OSU FANS MAY HAVE TO EAT CROW THIS YEAR BECAUSE YOU SHOULD BEAT AN INEXPERIENCED TEAM LIKE OSU IN THE BIG HOUSE BUT JUST THINK IF MICHIGAN LOSES THAT GAME TOO. THIS GAME, WHILE TROY SMITH AND TED GINN JR. AND ANTHONY GONZALEZ WHERE ENROLLED WAS ALMOST NOT EVEN A RIVALRY ANYMORE. IT SEEMED THAT LLOYD CARR HAD TURNED INTO THE MICHIGAN VERSION OF JOHN COOPER. HE COULD WIN EVERY GAME EXCEPT THE ONE THAT COUNTS MOST TO STUDENTS AND ALUM. BUT DON'T WORRY MICHIGAN FANS, TROY, TED, AND ANTHONY ARE GONE SO YOU MAY GET ONE THIS SEASON BUT JUST REMEMBER ... YOU STILL HAVE TO COME BACK TO THE SHOE NEXT SEASON AND ALL OF YOUR OFFENSIVE STARTERS WILL BE GONE, AND AT OSU WE DON'T REBUILD ... WE RELOAD!!!! GO BUCKS ... SCREW BLUE !!!!

Basically it is the lack of success at the end of the year--OSU and bowls.

Hart and Henne are great players, but without beating OSU and winning an elite bowl game, I fear they will just be an asterisk.

Fortunately, they one more shot in 2007 and I think they'll come through.

Wolverine fan in SW Ohio.

The fact that many columbus people diss Michigan should be taken as as compliment. This proves that there is in fact a rivalry.
