is it possible to set up web cam on computer at secretary's desk to see lobby and view on my computer.?

Basically, I want to point the cam to lobby area so that I can see who comes into our office lobby and view this on my computer in a differnent office in the building. We have peer to peer network and have DSL.

That is what they are made to do! I would suggest and IP cam some even have pan, tilt and zoom. They are great for monitoring entrances and even motion when you aren't in the building.

Consider an ethernet webcam - wired or wireless whatever works best for your situation.

Linksys makes an ok product w/ a good price tag.
