It just makes their lives easier if they do. but they don't HAVE to.

If you are good looking it is as if you have an open honey pot. So - how do you behave if you have got what others want? You might get suspicious of other peoples motives. You might believe the flattery and get a big head. You might get overly dependant on getting a free ride because of your looks. If you are NOT good looking I suppose you get the opposite side of the coin. The attention goes to the shallow good looking girl. You are desparate to present yourself in the best light. Either way - looks are power - and power can corrupt. If you are good looking/or not, and are your own person expressing your own inner self and values and goals, then, I think you have risen above the huge pressure on females. Signed - a male.

i think that a lot of females believe they have to present themselves a certain way to be accepted in our society but i dont think that's actually true. they mostly believe that because of the media, past rejections resulting in low self-esteem, and they might just not BE unpresentable to people w/o make-up or certain clothes.

hell yes, i dont like it, but sadly i expect it and to a point accept it. whenever someone dresses 'oddly' we laugh, point, call them a fashion victim, and generally act as stupid as possible trying to make them feel foolish for dressing how they want.
i like to wear weird clothes, stuff thats too big, mismatched, or just out of the ordinary, but everytime i go out in public i change my clothes so they conform to expectations because i dont want to be made fun of.

because if they don't, no one wants to be around them. girls only want to be around those who fit within their "group" or make them feel good...guys want someone "hot" or "sexy"...and of course girls want to be "hot" and "sexy" to be around guys, so anyone who isn't "that" doesn't belong...a circle of image obessive society unfortunately.
