If you are at a public school, they should have a faculty directory online at your schools website. Otherwise, you could ask your teacher. Especially if you were wanting to use her for a job reference (if she is willing) or to keep in touch. She may accept or decline.

Asking a teacher for her email address can be touchy. The relationship a teacher has with her student can be nice and encouraging but if they want to extend that into communication outside of their teaching time is questionable. Perhaps you could ask if the teacher plans on remaining with the school, that way you could send a letter in the future to let her know how her students life turned out. If the teacher responds that they won't be with school but offers future contact info great, if not perhaps she would like to leave the communication limit at the classroom. If she does its not that she doesnt care its just that many teachers find it better to draw a strong line between school and home life as well as cutting the ties as does a parent to let their child take what they have learned and spread their wings into life.

My aunt and cousin are teachers and they would not give out their e-mail addresses unless a student needed help with something. Former students should not be e-mailing their former teachers. Your teacher may not remember you in two or three years. They may for get who you are. You should just give the teacher yours and leave it at that. I would not be happy if a former student(if I was a grade school teacher) wanted my e-mail address. I would give it to them and say only e-mail me when you have a question about college. College professors give e-mail addresses because college is different. In grade school teachers should not be e-mailing former students and either should former students.

She may not want to give it out, so to ask her for it directly could be awkward for her. I'd suggest giving her yours and saying "I hope we can keep in touch" or something like that. That way she can write to you or not as she chooses without having to be put on the spot.

Straightforward is always the best way. "I would like to keep in touch. May I have your email address?" (say it with a nice smile)

tell the truth. Tell her you highly respect her and would like to keep in touch. Ask her if you could please keep in contact with her because you may have additional questions(or need guidance) from her and feel extremely comfortable with her and might like to know some of her tips on how to teach.

My question is why do you desire your instructor's e mail handle? If he/she has a school e mail account, that should be printed on the college or district's internet site. whilst you're questioning approximately your instructor's very own e mail handle, then my answer is for you to no longer be. you won't offend your instructor by requesting inner maximum (i.e., irrelevant) innovations, in spite of the undeniable fact that it is going to truly create an ungainly (i.e., embarassing) undertaking for you in case you do! stand up to!!!

Offer her your e-mail address.

"In case you think of anything that will help me in my education in the future, here's my e-mail address if you get a minute to write. I'd really like that."

She may offer you her e-mail address right then, or she may write later and you can respond and keep her address.

Say something casual and tell her the truth -

"Hey, I really appreciate all the help you've given me and what you've taught me and I'd like to keep in touch. Do you think I could maybe e-mail you sometime?"
