i use a mixture of maple syrup, chopped onion, flour as a base and "boric acid" purchased at any home store. mix equal parts until gooie and roll in tiny balls and place in curboards and behind things. make sure no pets can get at the cocktail and eat it.

Don't use those bombs! You don' t need toxic pesticides in your home!!!
Boric acid such as Roach Pruf......plus is also gets the silverfish.
Combat Gel is quite similar to what the exterminators use! and does get back to the colony and queen.
If the roaches are coming up from the sewer, call the city and they will come and spray the sewer/manhole cover area (now this may be unique to our area.)
If you feel you must use something toxic, do so only outside around the foundation. You don't want to be breathing all those toxic chemicals indoors. Also if you have cats or small dogs, they are extremely sensitive to those chemicals.

As long as you don't have pets or small children boric acid works wonders. Sprinkle it around the baseboards inside and leave it sit. I live in Hawaii where roaches and rodents abound and the best thing I've found, hands down, is Ortho Home Defense Max. You can buy it at Wal Mart for use indoors and out. Once it dries indoors you can mop over it and the 'barrier' remains as well as being safe for animals (after it dries of course).

i've been in this house for 9 months now and i seen a few roaches here so i went to Walmarts and bought a brown tube of Combat Gel put it in little corners of your house, under the kitchen sink, cabinets, anywhere they crawl, they will track thru the brown stuff and won't know it and take it back to their nest and they killed the entire nest, then repeat after 3 months if needed.i always put that in any house or trailer that i live in and i've always been roach free.it costs about 8.00

They won't work on cockroaches. Get boric acid. It will take some time, but it will work. It strips the protective layer off of them and causes them to dehydrate.

Use borax everywhere and make sure that nothing is wet like in the basement or in the cupboards. Vacuum everything daily because you want to get rid of those eggs.and clean the vacuum It takes about two or three weeks but it really does work.
