NO!!! They have their own set of emotions that began in childhood and you do not own the key. You stepped on someones toes or pushed their button perhaps, but you didn't mean to. Happens every day. Do NOT let anyone make you feel responsible for their emotional condition. Okay? Trust Me. Don't EVER let other people blame you for their emotional responses. @8-(

Yes you can hurt someone but I don't feel anyone is responsible for anyone else's emotions or life. We can react to hurt however we want. I say No we aren't responsible.

NO.

Each person is allowed to have their own feelings and emotions. You are not in control of them and you do NOT need to be made to feel guilty because someone else`s emotions are rampant. Even if you did do something that may have hurt the other.

However, having said that. It is never OK to just hurt someone for no reason..

We are each responsible for our actions and such. It is never OK to project your thoughts onto someone else to make them feel bad. It is normal to feel bad, at the suffering of another, BUT you are not in control of that other person.

We each have hurts and crosses to bear. That is part of being alive. Just as we each have joys and wonders in our lives. Our feelings are never wrong or right. They just ARE...

I think the only time we are responsible ( or even close to it) for someone else's emotions is when we have hurt them.

Your question is actually a fairly deep one.

Parents are responsible for the emotions of their children.
Loving them, caring for them, teaching and training, etc.

If you do something to hurt someone, and succeed in causing their emotional pain, then yes, you are responsible.

In law courts, people can be held accountable for pain and suffering. We as an educated society acknowledge that there are many forms of harming someone, including emotionally.

Hurt emotions are just something we allow ourselves to feel....I know that sounds cold but it is the truth.

You will feel hurt and like a victim for as long as YOU decide to. Once you decide not to be a victim of hurt emotions then you at that point will move on and grow and mature! Good luck!

Everyone is responsible for there own emotions, but other people can contribute to how they are feeling at that time. If you would say something mean that you didn't want to.

They say that every action has a re-action, and while they also say that we're all responsible for our own emotions, how can we help but feel certain things when we're treated in certain ways? When we're treated lovingly, we respond lovingly. When we're abused, we deal with the emotions that come with that. I think that others are indeed responsible, to a certain extent, for how we feel.

In theory, no, but to be honest, I feel the answer is yes. Even though we are supposed to be in control of our own emotions, how can we not help but hurt if someone is horrible to us?
