While thousands of black men , women, and children were killed by the hands of their own. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, found it more important to get an idiot(Don Imus) fired. And Obama, and Clinton followed them like little sheep. It's odd that the party that fights so hard for freedom of speech, is all of sudden so in favor of regulating the air waves. What a joke.

I wish there was actually a best answer. But as usual this turned into a left vs. right issue. I know what Tipper did in the 80's. And didn't say liberals killed 1000's of people. Read the newspapers, how many murders were committed in your city the past week? And how many of them were against black men, women, and children? It is sad, and my point, that was obviously missed was. Where are Jesse, and Al ? Where is anyone ? Again my missed point is, A 66 year old goof, makes a off color comment, and the media is there. But when normal people are killed, the media is numb. The same as our leaders are. Both republicans and democrats. Unless it’s a brain dead woman in Florida, or a murder being executed in California. But that’s more about hype, than actual outrage, it’s not death, it’s about who dies, and how. And of course, how it can be “spun” for political gain. Sorry my point was missed, but not surprised : )

Just blame it all on the liberals. No sense in paying any attention to the crimes of the right wingers, like Tom Delay or Jack Abramoff. I'm a moderate, but I didn't "cave in" to Al Sharpton - I think he's an opportunistic hypocrite. When you lump one group into a single category ("all" liberals, etc.) you don't take the risk of sounding foolish, you sound foolish. Its just as silly as saying all conservatives are the same, and that is nonsense.

BTW: where is your evidence that thousands of black men, women, and children were killed by liberals? You don't have any, because its BS.

Your sweeping generalization is baseless. If you are refering to Darfur, they are fighting for that and have been for years.

As far as freedom of speech, Imus will make more money this way by going to a private station like Howard Stern did. The fact that he makes such insulting comments is fine on his own time. Why do you take it so personally?

Lots of people stand up for what they care about.

Personally, I think Imus is entitled to say whatever he wants, and everyone else is entitled to get upset if they want. That's freedom of expression. Silencing him because you don't like what he says is just cowardice -- and it does nothing but make people look like they are too fragile to be insulted.

But Imus wasn't fired by the government. He was fired by business who were afraid of losing money and ratings. And that is not a liberal or conservative issue. That's just business.

Divide and conquer. Keep the minority ignorant greatly increases your chances of getting elected. (Democrat manual page 3 paragraph 5 section 6.)

How quickly we forget!

Wasn't it Tipper Gore who lashed out FIRST against rap music???

Rap and hip-hop have always been liberal no-nos. We don't like them at all.

Or don't you remember that?

Yea, that's what happens when people from EITHER side get tunnel vision. Their side is right no matter what. Sound familiar? People got to think for themselves!!
