I'm 14 and at school i guess i'm kinda known as the rich kid. Its not my falt that i have nice stuff cool technology and cars. I used to have a friend and we've been friends for about 3 years and 2 days ago i found out he was using me to become cool and popular. What should I do?

Sounds like bragging to me too, are you sure you are being used or is he just being your friend because you buy his friendship. Your words not mine, "i'm kinda known as the rich kid. Its not my falt that i have nice stuff cool technology and cars. If that is not bragging then I am the Pope.

Okay, the first thing to do, is just stop bragging. I know that you probably don't mean to do it, but the way that you had some of your sentences 'It's not my fault that I have nice stuff, cool technology and cars' is kind of bragging about your things. Just show the real you, start volunteering around your community and don't show off your nice things. Just tone down the rich kid act and just show off your personality. Yes, there are going to be people that will want to be friends with you if they find out you have some money, but try to get to know your friends better, and not have to find out the hard way that they were just using you to become popular.

Don't be friends with him, you should have friends that like you for you, not for your stuff. It's not good to brag, but I can see where you're comming from. I live in a big house and never invite people over because they always make fun of me and my family for having money. Try and sort things out with him, but if he really only likes you for yourself, he's not a good friend.

You didn't get used because you are the kewl kid, you got used because (a) he's a user and (b) you haven't learned the signs yet. It happens to everyone rich or not. The question is, why did he know he could get away with it? Time to find some strong female role models to chat with and get the low down on how to handle yourself and others. All the best to you.

Your right it isnt your fault that your parents can afford to give you these things but are you 100% sure that your friend is really using you or is this something that someone has told you before I ended the friendship I think that I would talk to my friend and find out what's really going on you really dont want to lose a friend over someone elses comments.

you should never find friends that treat you like that ! they use you to get popluar and stuff! you shold tell him to bug off and finnd friend that like you for who you are nad you should never have jewlary on at school or have thing that other people can't get or something it can be like braggin! i am not saying that your bragging i am just telling you what some people do!

don't use your stuff around the other kids. invite them to your house and don't use any of your cool stuff while their there. maybe even give some of it away. good luck
