The typical clear lucite stripper high-heels are good because they go with whatever you are wearing, but simple black heels are also a good color in that regard.
Otherwise, just use a pair of heels that will not go flying off your feet- ones with the straps on the ankle are good for that, and if you have concerns about falling, I would recommend using ones that have a wider heel, perhaps a platform-type.

Stilettos of course. The higher the better but not with a platform. Platforms are tacky and a way to cheat your heels higher than they really are.
Transparent shoes can be sexy. Strappy heels are sexier than slipper type heels. Slingbacks are not appropriate for pole dancing. I recommend strappy heels with very thin straps.

Wear at ease pants, that are not too free in an effort to get plenty of motion. Also put on a good or outfitted most sensible so the teacher can see your activities. In manner of sneakers: Ballet sneakers must be a well begin and are well for a firstclass. However: that is most effective well for the primary couple of categories. You must assess with the studio/enterprise/instructor to look what's proper on your elegance.

I wish they offered those kinds of classes around here, sounds like it would be pretty interesting, especially for your significant other. :] I'd advise something that you don't think you'll end up breaking an ankle or leg in.
