I have a male molly and a female molly , there currently in a seperate tank (breeding tank) its a 10 gallon i put 2 tb spoons of salt will this encourage breeding or help?

Both. The addition of salt for mollies is certainly a good idea. I would say to add more though. Mollies will do very well at about 1-2 teaspoons per gallon.

Mollies do like some salt in their water. Salt will improve health, lower stress and even extend the life of the Mollies. Mollies need very little to encourage spawning. It will happen naturally in a healthy aquarium. When I kept Black Mollies in my tank I found that 1 tsp/ gallon was a good amount of salt for them.

YES it is wonderful.It helps condition them.I used to help breed them for a pet store.It has a calming effect when they are having them also.I used it in my mollie tanks.
