I had one of those monitors with my second child and I never could get it to work right. I am currently 15 weeks pregnant with my third and it doesnt matter if its your first or your third like mine you are constantly wondering if something is wrong I still do it to this day and count the days down until my next appointment. I am sure all is well you are just experiencing something that every mother to be goes through.

No, a save provided fetal heart seen tutor unit hardly works even way later into being pregnant. A heartbeat would desire to good be detected via ultrasound as early as 6 weeks, and with a doppler between 10-12 weeks. i might relatively purchase a medical severe high quality doppler (they could be have been given here upon on eBay for around $a hundred) and in spite of the undeniable fact which you will probably choose to attend some extra effective weeks interior the previous you may choose to pay interest some thing.

The BebeSounds Prenatal Heart Listener really does not work well until late in the pregnancy, and not very well even then.
I used one throughout my 2nd pregnancy, and was only able to hear the heartbeat once or twice, near the end. I took it to my doctors office and not he, nor any of his nurses, could locate the heartbeat with it...but picked it up just fine on the in-office doppler. None of my friends have been able to hear the heartbeat well with this product either.
It has exceptionally poor reviews. You should always look things like that up before purchasing.

I got the professional when I was pregnant and it is the same one they use in the Dr office. I got it from heartbeatsathome.com you rent it from the web site, I don't remember how much it was I think about $15. I could hear the heart beat pretty early. Of course you should let your dr know that you are using this and bring it to your next appt so they can show you how to use it. It takes practice to find the right spot and then to know what you are listening to.

"After multiple miscarriages, it was such a blessing to be able to hear my baby's heartbeat and know he was okay. The product and service are far superior to others on the market. Even my doctor was amazed at the quality of this product - better than his Doppler. I know both he and I will enthusiastically recommend BabyBeat to anyone wanting to hear their baby's heartbeat."

not the best idea dear!
they say if you even get it to work, which I havent heard of happening often... it really only works in the third trimester.
I know you probably justwanted it to ease your mind but if it doesn't find the heartbeat don't worry!
I honestly think they should take those things off the market!
I know you can rent "actual" dopplers just let me know if you'd be interested in a site or something for more info!

I had one and thought it was crap. The only things I could ever really hear were my stomach or if the baby kicked it. I'd suggest returning it and using the money for something you'll really need--diapers. At 19 weeks and beyond you'll be able to tell the baby's okay through his or her kicks.

i had one, and it said on the back of the box, that i wouldnt be able to hear the heartbeat untill the third trimester. but, i never did get it to work like it said it would. as long as you are healthy, and everything is going ok with the pregnancy, the baby should be fine. good luck with the new baby!

How fast was the pulse you heard?
A normal fetal heart rate usually is between 120 and 160 beats per minute.
Any slower than this, and it was probably yours.
You'll have to search all over your belly to find it. Usually pretty low, near the pubic bone, but hey, babies like to travel.
congratulations!
