That's the problem with political correctness -- people get offended too easily.

Some people here take that to the extreme, and get offended by anything they disagree with.

But constitutional freedom of speech issues only become relevant when the government gets involved and tries to silence people because the govt doesn't like what they are saying.

1. This forum is owned by Yahoo!, so freedom of speech, which is protected under the law of the land, doesn't exist in a private enterprise. The rules are what they make them to be.

2. Try asking a question instead of making a statement.

3. Try not to throw out inflammatory, unsupported, or nonsensical accusations.

4. Try to ask or answer without being offensive.

We all work better in the framework of civilized communication.

It can't, as I am sure they are as outraged as I was when I figured it out, but it didn't take me that long, as I am able to think for myself. Then they attack individuals, like Rosie, Martin Sheen, instead of addressing the TRUTH issue. I believe that myspace has a better set up. Also, I agree with you, I believe in this forum freedom of speech is somewhat limited as it is due to lack of maturity, & some believe that we shouldn't say certain things & don't realize that we don't all have the same beliefs. This is why I've switched to myspace, there are people there of all ages & I have met some really likeable, funny, intelligent people from all over the US, & Uk, REALLY nice people, younger & older. I have my own group, our bulletins are all about Truth & Awareness, chemicals in our food, mercury in the vaccines, Nano technology, the HAARP project, Chemtrail Aerosol Operations theories, holistic practices, the Myan calendar, political agendas, Monsanto, what's in our food, you name it, we find the sources & post them. You can make it public or private. It is fun, educational. Some people want to ruin thing for others; Some people just can't handle the truth & are so far right that they even get biligerent, only because they have been brainwashed for so long. I have ran acroos this on yahoo answers that if you answer a question to help the person by providing a link to say a colon cleanser or weight loss product that works, someone even takes offense to it, reports you, and then you get threatening emails from yahoo to suspend your entire account. Aside from the info wars & prison planet site, I hope you have checked out the www. republicbroadcasting.org and listen to the radio broadcast, it is really pretty good. This is for people that can handle the truth! & they always have different topics, they broadcast to over 20 countries, you can even call in & I am glad I was turned on to it, all you need is a real player or media player. go there & click on "listen". Just remember, Our lives begin to end when we become silent about things that matter. Thanks for bringing up the issue of freedom of speech in this forum, I'm certain that "answers" is monitored by people that lack adequate training. I am about to complain to yahoo, myself, they need improvement, personally I believe it has been set up to entrap pedophiles! As it certainly isn't set up like a library, as I'm not going to research a subject for 10 points for some lazy person! I didn't expect this to be so long, but I had to get this out! Peace~

Everyone here is expressing freedom of speech. Freedom to speak does not mean that you can be offensive. So when you are expressing your rights you certainly can disagree but not offensive.

Did I offend.

The truth you speak of is only your opinion based on your own personal take on things. So, you are honestly expressing your opinion. That may or may not be based on facts. For every political statement made, there is another one that will refute it. There is no reason to get insulting about it. That won't cause anybody to change their opinion.

Just because people get offended in this forum doesn't mean you don't have the right to say what you wish with the exception of you putting anyone down or calling names. You never have a right to make fun of someone but you do have a right to say what you think or feel. Whether it offends or not. Others have the right to disagree with you.

Here's something that you should find interesting.

Do a search on Lib, Libs, Liberal and then do a similar search on conservatives.

While they both have a good deal of witless back and forth, you will see the so-called conservatives on here are much more vocal and derogatory than so-called liberals.

That is free speech at work, people being able to disagree with what you say. Enjoy it before Bush takes that away along with the other civil liberties he had taken from us.

You can't.

Political correctness is talking over. The "squids" are afraid of the truth.
