The Lucille is listed in "excellent condition," and I don't see much wrong with it from the pictures. However, I haven't played it since it's being sold online. On the other hand, I just played a brand new Gretsch Tennessee Rose, and I really liked it. It also has a Bigsby trem. They are about the same price but the Lucille is about $125 more. I really like the feel of a Lucille, but really like the Gretsch as well. The Gibson is made in the USA while the Gretsch is made in Japan (that's where their top guitars are made, not their lower-end ones). Which one should I buy?

I used to have a 1963 Gibson ES 355 Stereo cherry red, same thing as Lucille, I had to sell it about 10 yrs ago and I'm still kicking myself for doing it...
Go with Lucille is my answer.

I'll always pick Gibson over Gretsch. And Gretsch is a very good guitar too.

just make sure it's what is advertised.
