Absolutely, I would intervene and help the officer in any way I could. I am sure his wife, kids, relatives etc would appreciate him coming home to them, rather than knowing people just drove on by like it wasn't happening.
Anyone who wouldn't help the officer, deserves to feel the same helplessness when they really need an officers help, and none show up!

I'd have to help him even if he was a cop, I might let the suspect get away, but I wouldn't let him beat the cop up, I am not a person that could just stand there and see anyone getting beat up. I would have to try, but then if it was a cop beating someone up as I have seen before when they were trying to restrain someone, she didn't deserve or need to get her head beat against a concrete dock either that day, oh by the way it wasn't me and the cops were friendly with me that day and I am not making this up. I still know I would get in trouble if I tried to help the one that was getting beat up so how is that fair? It isn't is it? I don't know I have never seen a cop getting beat up it is ussually the other way around.

Id leave a gust of wind and leaves flying in the air as I run as fast and far as I could to get away from whatever crazy SOB is beating the crap out of a police officer.
Now if I could sneak attack the perp, then Id give him a left black eye with a mean right hook.

each and every so often you need to do what you need to do to arise with somebody. In my journey, human beings can nonetheless carry out a little tremendously loopy issues in handcuffs. in simple terms by fact they are extremely restrained, would not recommend that they are possibility unfastened. provided they at the instant are not beating the fool out of him for no obvious reason, I little throat grabbing isn't unjustified. Plus you do no longer likely comprehend what befell previously the guy have been given put in handcuffs. perchance he develop right into somewhat bit a hassle maker.

I would try to help somehow -- I would yell for help, scream, throw something at the suspect like a rock or bottle whatever I could find and call 911 on my cell phone.

I live in a very shady neighbourhood and I have seen it. The coppers are NEVER alone. I live in Canada, and when I see **** like that I dearly wish I had a piece. But I guess now we have cameras on cel phones....which does more than a gun in the long run. But still, what about the dude that is getting his *** beat?

I would call 911 on my cell Phone and give the information to the dispatcher. I would stay out of the way but I would stay near, and tell the dispatcher everything I see.

I would call 911 from a cell phone. I wouldn't get close because I wouldn't know if the suspect had a weapon.
