Bear Bryant.. and he is way ahead of the rest of your list.

Because he turned every program into an 'elite' program (Kentucky, A&M, Bama). He was intelligent, hard-working, revered/respected by players and the community... and still holds a 'god-like' status in the state of Alabama today.

Bear Bryant. Lou Holtz is 2nd best coach, but his best work was not done as an SEC coach
