They might report you just for using the word,I'm pretty sure they consider it profanity.

There's nothing wrong with corporate profits. In fact, I count on corporate profits to continue growing my investments and 401k.
Corporate profits at the expense of the people is what I have a problem with. Little things like Enron, Savings and Loan scandal, and the more recent sub-prime lending collapse really don't give me any warm fuzzies about corporate America.
It also bothers me that corporations are treated like special citizens, such that they can outrageously break various rules and regulations and still continue on as if nothing happened.
I'm all for ethically and morally attained corporate profits. It's just that there are number who would just as easily kill people as make a buck. Those corporations are the ones I despise (DeBeirs anyone?).

Liberal, if you care about that.
There are many superb corporations that I would have been proud to help create, or to work for. And they rely on profit. I have no problem with that.
And the other corporations?
Sometimes the cost of profit is higher than any ethical man or woman could tolerate... but often a faceless, soulless company has no scruples.
What would God say about corporate misdeeds? And who takes the blame? The shareholders? The CEO? They all maintain plausible deniability. No one is responsible.
Corporations should be applauded for finding a way around Sin itself... there IS no sin, if no individual has committed it.
Except, ahem, I suspect the Almighty will not agree.

Generalizations are not often a powerful theory. yet, on the different hand, they are frequently based on some middle of actuality. as an occasion, interior of america, there are various Christian businesses that are very aggressive in attempting to enforce their version of morality, it rather is somewhat restrictive and illiberal. Even oppressive. i do no longer think of which could be called "liberal" by any definition of the term. by fact actuality, that's comprehensible why one can gererally evaluate non-Christians greater liberal than Christians.

No they are just words like any other. Profit is a good thing and it is usually done by corporations. That is what keeps business going. Excessive profit may be another story. Interestingly, you may not realize this, but slightly higher taxes or giving a damn about little people can actually increase those profits rather than decrease them. But Conservatives are so simple minded they don't understand anything so complicated.

This question is absolutely necessary.
In my own opinion, libs are unable to separate their idealism from reality. They believe that everyone should willingly give back any profits to the less fortunate, and don't believe in allowing people the choice to do so.
As for corporations, libs detest them because they drive the American economy and make a lot of profit doing it. If a corporation ever does anything negative, it is presumed to be malicious intent driven by greed.

Please justify the federal government giving millions in tax breaks and incentives to corporations making billions in profits. Should Exxon-Mobil for just one example be making record breaking profits in the billions when Americans are once again closing in on three bucks a gallon for gas? The corporate banking industry, another example while Americans fall further and further into debt. Check out the recent numbers on home foreclosures. Greed unregulated would make most Americans nothing more than slaves and if most corporations had their way, we would all be working for the company store. People's faith in corporations doing the right thing never ceases to amaze me.

No.
I hate to point it out to you, but the word "profit" does not have any moral attribute attached to it. It is neither good or bad or do you say that profit from dealing drugs is "good" too? LOL So stop your vile propaganda tricks.
Liberals attach checks and balances to the process of getting "profit" and cons just pray for it a as if it were an almighty god.

Nope. We love profit. Socially conscious profit. Look at Ben and Jerrys ice cream. Huge corporation, tons of profit, but are socially responsible for their actions. What's wrong with asking for people to be responsible for themselves? I thought conservatives were all about personal responsibility?

No. You seem to be confusing the issues.
Liberals don't hate profit or corporations as abstract concepts. They just think that profits should take a lower priority to caring for people and the environment, and that corporations should get less benefits than living people.
Some take that to the extreme, and consider businesses much less important -- and much more subject to regulation -- than individuals. But that is just a difference in priority taken to the extreme.
